Next-Gen 2024 Dodge Charger Stays To Its Roots As Plan To Go Electric Is Uncertain

The next-generation 2024 Dodge Charger may have resurfaced its all-new concept car as an EV, but the latest leaks suggest that the plan for making it an electric car is still uncertain. Stellantis has decided to implement all its gas-powered car models into an electric vehicle due to new carbon emission norms. But, the new images reflect the body chassis of the production model which showcases that the IC engine may be the option when the car goes on sale to the real world.

The Dodge Charger has always been perceived as a dominator because of its performance engine. The HEMI V8 engine provides astonishing power and torque to the car. This powerful engine has made Charger known for its RWD experience. The Dodge Charger is a strong muscle car that went into production in the 1960s and made its legacy creating a symbol of nostalgia and dominance in pop culture. The all-new 2024 Dodge Charger may still have a special edition engine option available for the buyers as some car enthusiasts will still prefer an IC engine over EVs.

The Dodge Charger has always shown a bold and aggressive design which appeals to the gearheads who are more jeopardized by its dominance and performance in pop culture. The next-gen 2024 Dodge Charger would be launched as a Coupe but it is still a mystery. Now, upcoming photos have started appearing online that hint about the contrary.

The 2024 Dodge Charger may have a twin-turbo I6 powertrain

The American favorite muscle car brand Dodge has previously said that the upcoming model of the Charger would be an electric drive but also hinted that the internal combustion news won’t die too soon. The latest images resurfaced from daytonaowners.com suggest that the upcoming Dodge Charger might have a transmission tunnel within the body pannel but still makes it wonder if this would be for the I6 engine or the EV version. The EV Concept is still on tested but will not be revealed before 2024.

The images show that there are no fenders mounted on the body panel. Thus it is very difficult to judge that the car would simply arrive as the engine option available for the existing buyers. It is somehow hard to say but one thing is sure the next-gen 2024 Dodge Charger will not be fully electric. It is too soon to judge, isn’t it? but what we can confirm from the leaked images is that the production unit has a bit of a provision for a gas-powered version between the strut towers.

Apart from the chassis construction, we can also see that the new Charger would not be a fully-fledged sedan. It can also be revealed as a compact hatchback or a coupe because there is no separation between the rear of the glass to the trunk lid. The new 2024 Dodge Charger will be based on the new EV concept. Under the hood, the brand would offer the new Hurricane twin-turbo I6 engine option available as a limited edition to the buyers. The new Charger would be introduced at a premium price point for the gasoline-powered model. The 2024 Dodge Charger may be priced at a whopping $50,000 for the I6 engine version.
