Recently, they made headlines by making the world’s first four-seater hypercar and the first four-seater car built by Koenigsegg. The 2023 Koenigsegg Gemera has launched a new hybrid powertrain system. This new engine will now be able to produce 2300 HP and 3500 Nm of torque.
The 2023 Koenigsegg Gemera now comes with an upgraded engine option available for better engine performance. The new version will now be available with a V8-hybrid engine option available for the customers. This engine is capable of producing 2300HP and 3500 lb-ft of torque. The first production car of the Gemera was launched in 2020. After its launch other automotive companies dropped their jaws when they came to know that this supercar doesn’t have camshafts in their drivetrain system.
The 2023 Koenigsegg Gemera will only produce limited edition units. The actual figures have not been revealed by the company but all cars will be manufactured at the new Gripen Atelier facility in Sweden. The buyers can buy the new Gemera in early 2024. According to the CNBC automotive news, The price of 2023 Gemera is estimated to cost around $1.7 million in the United States.

The 2023 Koenigsegg Gemera is the first four-seater sports car in the world.
The 2023 model will have a new powertrain system which will be shared with its sister car Jesko. It has been over three years since the first Gemera was released back in 2020. The first production unit of the car was underrated as its powertrain weighs only 70 kg and because of this small engine displacement, the performance was not much enriched. The 2020 TFG three-cylinder engine was not powerful as it was able to generate only 1700 maximum horsepower which is less when compared with other supercars in the market. Do you remember Koenigsegg Jesko? Yes, the incredibly shaped futuristic aero-designed supercar from the Swedish manufacturer.
The 2023 Koenigsegg Gemera is essentially a sibling to the Jesko, as both vehicles are built on the same platform and share the same engine configuration. However, the Gemara boasts some premium features and additional package trim levels. The new Gemera is equipped with a V8 hybrid powertrain system that is superior in both refinement and power compared to the previous generation model.
This engine is paired with a 9-speed transmission system which is also derived from Jesko’s 9-speed drivetrain system. Although the Gemera’s transmission has undergone some minor tweaks, it has improved significantly compared to that of the Jesko. The Gemara will be offering wing mirrors instead of cameras for the US market. With single engine configuration available the customer can also add some Ghost Package with additional trim level modification.

According to Christian-Von Koenigsegg the new Gemera will come with an E85 ethanol fuel system under the new policy of emission norms. This new hybrid powertrain produces 2300 HP and 2028 lb-ft of torque which is massive when compared with Jesko and other previous models of Koenigsegg. The top speed of Koenigsegg Gemera is estimated to be about 186 MPH and can cover a distance from 0-60 mph in just 1.9 seconds. With such impressive numbers, the Gemera can easily give a tough fight to Lotus Evija, Bugatti Chiron, and Hennessey Venom F5.
